Ryan Botha started his professional football career with MYPA-47 of Finland in 2003. He then signed with Turkish club, Denizlispor, in 2004 and returned to South Africa in 2007 to play for Thanda Royal Zulu. After an impressive season he joined the Soweto giants, Moroka Swallows, in June 2008.

Ryan has represented South Africa at under-23 level and has appeared at the UEFA Cup. Ryan’s wonder strike a few months back for Swallows versus Bloemfontein Celtic was voted Goal of the Season in the 2008/09 ABSA Premiership.

Ryan is currently registered as a professional footballer with Moroka Swallows, has appeared in TV commercials and regularly acts as an MC and motivational speaker.
