Gerrit Jan is the former SA U20 captain and current Blue Bulls U21 and the Vodacom Cup captain. He is a natural leader and is held in very high regard by the Blue Bulls, having been earmarked as a possible future captain. He led his junior charges to Currie Cup victory in 2008 and made his Senior Currie Cup debut in the 2009 competition.
