The Captain of the successful U19 side that won the Absa U19 tournament last year, his rise has been meteoric and he has been elevated from age group level directly into the Sharks 2009 Vodacom Super 14 squad. Coach John Plumtree who has been impressed with what he saw during preseason games when the youngster showed a lot of natural ability and instinct in a role as vital as scrumhalf. Having come through the ranks of Natal and SA Schools Academy, Craven Week and Sharks U19, it is only natural that his progression continues.
