Shafiek has recently transferred back to Cape Town from Pretoria where he had a very successful 2 year spell with Tuks. He has joined Santos and describes his move back to Cape Town as a "coming home", having developed his skills through the highly successful Ajax Youth System. He is a very stylish holding midfielder with great ball distribution skills. He is still young and has all the potential to grow into an accomplished footballer.
